I’m Black-Asian; Japanese-Diola, with a political and creative upbringing nurtured in New York City. These days, I am living a quiet life in Aarhus, Denmark. I spend my time bouldering, sewing to fill my wardrobe, and teaching myself how to restore my old road bike.
In my work life, I’m an independent scholar and run the Centre for Nordic Otherwise. I have worked in the design field since 2006 and have 9 years of design education. My practice involves conceptual projects, critical writing, and facilitation. My vision is for those of us contributing to the project of liberation through conceptual and artistic means to be supported with radical tactics, abundance, and tenderness. The collaborations I hold most dearly are with folks working towards moving softly, reflectively, and with accountability.
